Inspired by my travels to Iceland. The collection strives to reconstruct and re-imagine the memories and images of this mystical Island with form and material exploration. Using found natural objects, like lava stones and pebbles to engrain the textures, capturing felt sensations into physical surfaces. Using hand-building, carving, engraining and pouring processes with three different materials – raw black clay, wood and jesmonite to create the contrast and interplay between diverse surfaces, textures and shapes.
